Everyone who sees the wooly teddy bear faces of our Babydoll Southdowns has to smile! Each year, we welcome 6 to 8 new lambs to the flock. Most years, we re-home all of the lambs to loving farms around the country. If you are interested in getting on the waiting list for a future lamb, please email us at heavensbales@gmail.com.
The original miniature Southdown sheep originated on the South Down hills of Sussex County, England in the 1700s. In 1986-91, after becoming almost extinct, 350 sheep with the original bloodlines were located and a registry was formed to keep the line pure.. The lambs are registered with an ear tag number, which you can see in photos of our sheep.
Babydolls are outstanding pets that produce fleece that is in the class of cashmere, a hand spinner’s delight. They provide organic weeding and make excellent companion animals. Their gentle nature makes them a joy to own!

Disclaimer:
In order to reserve a lamb, we do require a deposit. Once a deposit is received, your name will be put on a waiting list. The order of the waiting list is based on when the deposit is received. If we don't have the desired lamb as requested, the deposit will be returned or can carry over to next breeding season. We do have right to refuse sale to anyone and Heaven's Bales Farm does have first pick on lambs born.
